back up, how important?

Each computer user has a different situation for what they back up and how they back it up.

I currently have 3 full-time computers running Windows 7.

Once a month, I do a fresh backup of my documents, photos, favorites, programs, drivers, etc. to multiple DVD-R's.

If one of my computers was to crash and need a clean reinstall of Windows 7, I have the DVD-R's to install and copy what's needed afterwards.
