Windows Blue Screen 0x000000ED

Hi Guys,

New to the forums, look forward to helping support others but now i need someone in my hour of need!!!

Went to boot my laptop with morning and i get a blue screen of death with the following error:

"UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME"

STOP 0x000000ED

System restore was futile, i am going to run a memtest to help deduce the problem. But my 2 main concerns are

1. Is there a way to backup some important files to a USB? I only have a few but i have spent a lot of time on them as i have recently cancelled my hosting/scheduled backups... :down:

2. Is there a way to definitely prove that it is hardware (if it is of course) because i do have it insured but i need some proof, otherwise they are just gonna try and shaft me. :down:
