A bit of a Pickle!

Update:

It did it after 3 hours of being fine just now, and I noticed on the boot screen that my CPU Frequency was down to 1.2Ghz, it got past bios and rebooted again, and CPU was back onto 2.7Ghz.

I'm not sure if this reinforces the electric shortage theory or not, but thought I should add it anyway.
