Permanently deleted files reappear without rebooting

One of the problems with files and folders posted on the Windows desktop, it has had a tendency to eat up some of the system resources.

If the folders have a LOT of files that is more of an issue.

I believe that in the past you have just been lucky.

I have been teaching Windows since Windows 3.11 for DOS, and when Windows 98was released, Microsoft was even stating not use the desktop for file storage. Links to files are a different story.
