Would like to do system backup (but, not enough space)

If you are creating a System Image it will include everything as it creates a mirror image of the entire hard drive partition.

Any other method will only save all your documents and libraries. You can only back up your installed software by making a System Image.

As you only have 28GB of free space you have no other option other than getting a bigger drive to put it on.
