So, it looks like it may be a Windows setting. I'll post what I have now for my speaker setup. Before you change anything (if its needed) just remember what it was before, just in case ;)
Okay, so in Control Panel | Sound (if icons are shown) or Hardware and Sound | Sound (if Category is shown) I have the following:

![]()
![]()
Then, if you right-click on the volume icon in the taskbar and select Volume Control Options:
