On the drivers, I thought you said you updated them. I see...you weren't able to update them due to your freezing problem. NM on rolling them back. Just had the impression new drivers had made your situation worse somehow.
Are you on the PC that blue screened now or are you shut out?
Not sure what would cause a blue screen in this situation. I think it might be a good idea just to turn off your a-v and firewall (if it's not 7 firewall) in your startup list and then boot to see if you can run your software after a boot with it (them) off.
