This error message is driving me crazy! I looked it up in the forum but could not find an answer specific to mine. It goes like this: The specific procedure could not be found. Then it has this: C:\windows\system32\inet.cpl.cpl. I am using a Toshiba Satellite L755 Windows 7, 64 bit system. I had Internet Explorer as my homepage and my computer was running really great, then all of a sudden, IE crashes and I keep getting this message. IE will not load, or open. These are the fixes I have tried:Ran several different virus/malware checks, including Microsoft fix it and Windows Defender. Downloaded all updates on softwares and Windows. Ran disk cleanup,defraged. Managed addons, checked drivers, updated, tried to reset IE, tried to upgrade to IE 10,11,(no luck, just error message) Used fixit to erase toolbars, addons,contacted Microsoft,used Windows troubleshooter,checked for driver errors,tried to open IE toolbar to reset, booted in safe mode and checked for bad sectors,file system errors,cleaned registry,used Windows repair tools (several), tried advanced tab reset,entered terms into help window,tried to uninstall but it not in registry, tried to reninstall from program files,selective startup, etc. When I try to go to the log files that get sent to Microsoft (the ones that hav details for failed updates, etc) it produces the error code. When I go to program files, the first 3 have locks and long numbers on them. Many of the fixes just produced the error code. I found it it in Microsoft under KERNEL>system resources and it said to check to see if the program is llisted? I am thinking I need to just do a clean install but I never recieved a reinstall disc. I think it is on the computer somewhere. Does anyone know anything about this ? I would be so greateful!! The computer is only 2 years old, it is in very good condition and I have had nothing but problems from day one. Dont buy a toshiba!
