The current hard drive is perfectly fine, old but fine - just that as a precaution, it would be turned into a slave with the option in the future to revert back to xp if the win7 had major problems, ie swap them around and have the win7 disk run as a slave until the issue is resolved, or eventually wiped and a clone created of the win7 to have as a backup for the same reason. Its a sata drive and there is 3 other sockets on this motherboard.
