PC Desktop defaults to External Drive

I plugged in my new Toshiba 1 terrabyte external hard drive and proceeded to backup all my files, desktop, outlook etc. from my Acer Aspire 4830T-6605 laptop.

When I reboot my computer it always defaults to my external Toshiba Hard Drive. If I do not plug in the Toshiba external Hard drive then my PC Laptop is almost blank. It appears that upon loading that the PC Laptop shortcuts to the external drive.

How do I restore to my original Desktop without having my external drive attached?
