Unknown File problem

I opened the .reg file in safe mode with no effect it acted the same way. By following the link you've posted I've come to the conclusion that because I'm not the admin on my computer I wont be able to fix this problem ill have to ask my admin about running this for me. Thanks for helping me id be lost without your guidance hopefully I wont have any problems with Default associations anymore. If I do have problems then I know where to come.
