Change Windows "edit" association with certain filetypes ?

I see in the image that you have a file selected, what type of file is it?

This edit is related to your default programs based on the extension of your file type.

To do this go to "Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Default Programs\Set Associations" and then browse the different file types and then select the CORRECT program to open and/or edit said file type.

If you select the wrong program for any extension, you just may mess up a lot of files.
