Bluetooth

Thanks for responding. My sticky is that I'm prevented from going further right near the start of those instructions.

The instructions say, "Click Start, type Bluetooth in the search field, and then select "Change Bluetooth Settings" (Bluetooth Settings dialog appears). However, a Bluetooth Settings Dialog does NOT appear on my computer.

I cannot select something that does not actually appear, hence all the instructions that follow cannot apply, as much as I wish they could.

Instead, all I see is a listing for "Bluetooth File Transfer" (under the Programs list) and "View Devices and Printers" under the Control Panel list.

Using the "View Devices" option, I can see my printers and a device I use to monitor physical fitness, just not the device I'm trying to link. Odd.

Someone has suggested I buy a small USB Bluetooth adapter for my laptop which could provide the very latest Bluetooth technology. They're not expensive. I may do that.

Although my problem isn't totally solved at this writing, I find that your answer was helpful in my quest in that I had definite steps to follow that should have produced the desired result under normal circumstances. I now know I definitely have something other than normal circumstances, so perhaps I do need that adapter to link with my new teleprompter remote.

Thanks for your efforts.
