Unusual remote operations running

Hello, without trying to figure out what is going on at your location, please consider these facts and then see if any apply to you.
There are only three ways to access a computer remotely from outside the local network:
1) A VPN server is enabled on the local network, this user must have permission to the VPN, then the remote user could RDP into a workstation which is both Enabled for remote access and to which the user has an admin account to or explicitly added as an authorized remote user.

2) RDP connections are being forwarded to port 3389 for that computer, usually requires a fixed ip address from the ISP, a fixed ip address for the workstation and of course all of this must be done at the gateway or router and the same RDP requirement for VPN connections.

3) Specialized remote access software has been installed on the local machine which can easily be ascertained by inspecting the list of installed programs (GoToMyPC; Laplink Everywhere; Teamviewer; PCAnywhere; Ultra VNC etc...)

Also remember that since two users cannot be actively logged on to the same machine at the same time, the local or remote user would be prompted about another user being already logged on.

So inspect your computer and router or gateway based on these facts and determine if it can in fact be access remotely

Best regards
