As I read through the text, I saw XP listed and a memory returned to me. I actually got the computer back in 2008 (2010 had been niggling me) and it had XP. In 2010 I got a terrible virus and had to do a clean install. A friend where I worked back then said I could use his Windows 7 as I mentioned I had a desire to upgrade. That must have been a copy and I only know this as I've had a message come up saying it's not a proper copy.

So sorry if this has meant you've given now defunct information!

Btw, I don't understand when you say "The motherboard in your computer may have NVIDIA chipset, graphics, ethernet, etc.." Does that mean I didn't give you the right information?
