Hi Both
I have the Ordinal problem, it starts with urlmon.dll but when I have downloaded and registered a new version of that it loses other dlls and changes the ordinal it seeks.
I have found lots about this and mostly in regard to web browsers but in my case that is irrelevant:
This begins when I attempt to print a picture and I have not managed to do that for days. Two printers have the same problem in that no file is sent to print but a dialogue box opens to tell me of the missing ordinal if I try to use MS Gallery or to print from Picture Viewer though I did print documents and pictures from MS Word.
I am about to re-install Windows 7 having restored to the earliest point I can and still suffering the same problem. I also saw the suggestion this came with an automatic upgrade and that meets the time when I first had the problem (a week ago).
I have taken ownership of the same three files three times (not a simple process) so that I can move/delete/copy them and I have worked in "cmd" to clear corrupted versions an register new ones though not all went in. Whatever I do, once I restart clean all is fine until I attempt to print an image.
Other graphics using applications are now affected too especially Firefox.
Do you have any further information before I delete the lot?
Thanks
