After I opted to remove WIN10 and go back to Win7, problems occurred. My task manager stopped working.
I use it to run a system backup, and do an auto shutdown. I noticed my backups weren.t executing and that the shutdown
was also not happening.
When I went to the TASK manager I saw a message that "the task manager is corrupt or has been tampered with."
Checking the internet, I saw various solutions, but they seem a bit complicated, ie "dele a registry item at
HKEY_LOCAL_machine\software\Microsoft\windows nt\currentversion\schedule\taskcache\tasks".
Am I better off re-installing Windows7? And if I do, will all MS updates have to be re-applied?
I have complete backups of my system using MACRIUM free, so my data can be replaced.
Is there an easier way?
One solution was to remove the MS KB2305420 update, but I checked all my updates and that one doesn't exist on my system.
Please advise,
